Two workers died after entering an ETP tank at the Excellent Ceramics construction site in Bhaluka, Mymensingh

Two contract workers (Shafiqul Islam and Rumel Mia, aged 25 and 30) died on July 18, 2026, after entering a 15-foot deep ETP reserve safety tank for cleaning at the Excellent Ceramics (Tiles Industries) Ltd. construction site in Paragaon, Bhaluka, Mymensingh. The workers were found unconscious in the tank, transported to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, and declared dead. It is suspected they suffocated due to oxygen deficiency or toxic gas.
