Riverbank Erosion and Infrastructure Damage in Nilphamari

Following the recession of water levels in the Teesta River on August 5, 2026, severe riverbank erosion occurred in Domar and Jaldhaka upazilas. This resulted in cracks in protective embankments, damage to agricultural lands including corn and vegetable fields, and poses a threat to local infrastructure.
