A severe gas supply crisis paralyzed Feni district from August 1 to August 6, 2026. The crisis caused a total shutdown of the district's CNG filling stations, disrupting transportation and halting industrial production. Over 32,000 residential and 450 commercial connections were without gas. Normalization began on the night of August 6, 2026, with ten CNG filling stations resuming operations.
