Two Madrasa students drowned while bathing in the Jamuna River, one rescued
On June 25, 2026, three madrasa students were bathing in the Jamuna River at the No. 6 Boat Ghat in Nishchintapur Union, Kazipur, Sirajganj. Two students (aged 11 and 13) drowned, while a third was rescued alive by local fishermen. The bodies of the deceased were recovered by local fishermen and handed over to their families by the police.
