Shilok Bridge-ghat Bailey bridge collapse and Sukbilash rubber dam failure in Rangunia
A collapse of the Shilok Bridge-ghat Bailey bridge on the Rangamati-Bandarban road, combined with the failure of the Sukbilash Dudhpukuria rubber dam embankment in Padua Union, Rangunia, occurred following intense mountain torrents starting July 10, 2026. The bridge and 150 feet of the connecting road were damaged, severing road connectivity until repairs allowed for restoration of traffic on July 25, 2026.
