Two youths killed after being struck by train in Gopalganj

On the night of August 11, 2026, two youths, Md. Mehdi Sheikh and Hasib Gazi, were struck and killed by the Dhaka-bound 'Ruposhi Bangla Express' train near Maheshpur railway station in Kashiani, Gopalganj. Their bodies were recovered by police on the morning of August 12. Locals suggested the victims were on the tracks at the time of the incident.
