Ariful, injured in the July mass uprising, reflects on his life-altering trauma

Ariful, a 32-year-old victim of the July 2024 uprising, sustained a gunshot wound to his knee near Rampura Bridge, Dhaka, after his motorcycle was set on fire. He has since undergone 12 surgeries due to chronic bone infections and physical disability, and continues to struggle with medical expenses and long-term recovery.
