On Wednesday afternoon, two brothers, Abdur Rahman (6) and Abu Bakar (4), drowned in a canal while visiting their maternal grandparents' home in Choto Amtala village, Nazirpur, Pirojpur. The victims were residents of Bharatchathi village, Nesharabad. Local residents recovered the bodies and rushed them to the Nazirpur Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared them dead. Police inspected the scene and permitted burial without an autopsy at the family's request.
