Widespread Waterlogging, Fishing Trawler Capsize, and Landslide Risk in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar

Continuous heavy rainfall since June 21, 2026, has caused widespread waterlogging in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar, inundating over 500 households across multiple areas including Shahparir Dwip and Hnila. The event has triggered a severe risk of landslides for residents living near hills and resulted in the capsize of a fishing trawler owned by Mohammad Jasim near Shahparir Dwip on June 22. All crew members survived the incident.
