Passenger bus overturned at Padma Bridge Mawa, Munshiganj; 8 injured
On August 31, 2026, at approximately 1:15 PM, the 'New Greenline Express' passenger bus traveling from Magura to Dhaka overturned at the Mawa end of the Padma Bridge in Louhajang, Munshiganj. Eight passengers were injured and transported to the Sreenagar Upazila Health Complex. The accident caused damage to the bus and approximately 50 meters of the bridge's eastern railing, requiring significant repairs.
