Reduction in national gas supply due to adverse weather

Severe weather conditions in the Bay of Bengal have hindered the transfer of LNG from vessels to floating terminals in Maheshkhali, Cox's Bazar. This operational disruption has caused national gas supply to drop significantly, with one terminal forced to shut down as of 5 PM on September 24, 2026.
