Two tourists killed, five injured as tourist-carrying jeep falls into a ditch on the Thanchi hill road, Bandarban

On the afternoon of October 5, 2026, a tourist-carrying jeep lost control and fell into a ditch on the Alikadam-Tindu (Dimpahar-Tendumukh) road in the Agoyapara area of Thanchi, Bandarban. Two tourists died at the scene, and five others were injured. Victims were residents of Khutakhali, Chakaria. Rescue operations were conducted by the 38 BGB / Bolipara Battalion and local residents, with the injured transferred to the Alikadam Upazila Health Complex.
