8 DB Police Members Injured in Microbus-Autorickshaw Collision During Operation Amid Road Construction

Eight Detective Branch (DB) police officers were injured in a collision between a microbus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the Varera Bazar area of Goshaipur Union on the Sribordi-Kuruya road in Sherpur on June 24, 2026. The microbus, carrying officers to a special operation, lost control due to road narrowing caused by construction materials and fell into a roadside ditch. All eight injured officers were hospitalized, with some admitted to Sherpur Sadar Hospital.
