Four carriages of moving Modhumoti Express train detached in Pabna

Four rear carriages of the Rajshahi-to-Dhaka bound Modhumoti Express detached from the engine between Ishwardi and Ajimnagar railway stations in Pabna on May 14, 2026. The engine traveled approximately 400 yards before the disconnection was noticed. The train was halted for 20-30 minutes before the engine returned to reconnect the carriages. No casualties were reported.
