Fatal Clash at Mymensingh Border: BGB Personnel and Locals

On October 12, 2026, a confrontation occurred at the Jaljalia area near the Telikhali border in Haluaghat, Mymensingh, between BGB personnel and locals over the seizure of smuggled cattle. The incident resulted in one death (identified variously as Noman Ali or Rumman Mia) and injury to one BGB member, Naik Rafiq. Local residents subsequently staged protests through road blockades, while BGB filed cases against the deceased and others involved in the alleged smuggling.
