Pregnant woman gives birth on a road in Savar due to severe traffic; newborn dies later

A 32-year-old woman, Raziya Khatun, gave birth on a road near Savar Bazar Bus Stand on August 2, 2026, due to severe traffic congestion on the Dhaka-Aricha highway. The newborn, born prematurely at 28 weeks, suffered from respiratory complications and died in the NICU of Super Medical Hospital on August 4, 2026.
