Crop Failure and Waterlogging in Sunamganj Haors

Excessive rainfall in March and April 2026 caused severe waterlogging across 193 haors in Sunamganj. The event submerged Boro paddy fields, affecting over 2,23,511 hectares of land and threatening the district's rice production and government grain collection targets.
