Tuberculosis outbreak in 12 patients after surgery at Al-Madina Lab & Hospital in Pabna
At least 12 patients, mostly pregnant women who underwent surgeries between May and June 2026 at Al-Madina Lab and Hospital in Faridpur, Pabna, were diagnosed with tuberculosis at surgical wound sites. An IEDCR team has initiated an investigation into the source of the infection and instrument contamination, while patients are receiving care at the Faridpur Upazila Health Complex.
