Flash flood, waterlogging, and infrastructure/agricultural damage in Kalmakanda, Netrokona

Continuous heavy rainfall and upstream runoff from the Meghalaya hills caused the Ubdakhali River in Kalmakanda, Netrokona, to overflow. Over 5,000 people were affected across five unions, including Nazirpur, Kharnoi, and Lengura. The incident caused extensive damage to 15 educational institutions, a 100-foot section of the Nalchapra-Bazarubaluchara school road, 26km of road network, 200 hectares of Aman paddy seedbeds, 50 acres of cropland, and over 100 fish ponds. The river is flowing 18 cm above the danger mark.
