Bus falls into ditch in Borura, Cumilla; helper dead, 10 passengers injured

On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, a Balaka Paribahan passenger bus lost control and fell into a ditch in the Deora Fakira Mokam area of Borura, Cumilla, due to mechanical failure/steering wheel issue. The incident resulted in the death of the bus helper, Atikullah Sabuj (22), and injured 10 passengers. The accident also caused damage to a nearby Palli Bidyut utility pole.
