Engine fire on Jamalpur Commuter train, Dhaka-Mymensingh rail services disrupted

A fire broke out in the engine of the Dhaka-bound Jamalpur Commuter train between Mashakhali and Kaoraid stations in Gaffargaon, Mymensingh, on July 5, 2026. The incident caused a 1.5-hour disruption of rail services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route until the train was cleared at 11:00 AM.
