55-meter bridge approach road collapses in Kaliakair, Gazipur one month after inauguration

A 55-meter long bridge's newly constructed approach road in the Kaliadaha Moksh Bill area of Kaliakair, Gazipur, collapsed just one month after its opening. The project was implemented by M/S Mostafa Kamal and Sons Enterprise under a government and World Bank-funded 'Program for Supporting Rural Bridges'. Allegations of poor construction quality have been raised.
