BSF hands over body of Bangladeshi man at Nalitabari border

The body of 35-year-old Bangladeshi national Shipon Hawlader, who died while imprisoned in India, was handed over to Bangladeshi authorities by the BSF at the Nakugaon border in Nalitabari, Sherpur. Shipon had been serving a sentence for illegal border crossing and passed away on April 16, 2026, while undergoing treatment in Tura jail.
