Bhola town at risk due to severe Meghna riverbank erosion

Severe erosion along the Meghna River in Shibpur Union of Bhola Sadar and Medua Union of Daulatkhan is consuming agricultural land, homesteads, and businesses. The recurring nature of the erosion, coupled with the failure of geo-bag dumping to provide a lasting solution, has left local residents displaced and fearful that Bhola town is now under threat.
