Measles outbreak response and intensified nationwide vaccination campaign with US support for 3.4 million children

A nation-wide measles-rubella vaccination campaign has successfully reached 19,771,720 children. An 'Intensified MR Catch-up Vaccination' phase was launched on September 26, 2026, at the TNT playground in Karail, Dhaka, with US support via UNICEF. The program targets 3.4 million additional children (aged six to 59 months) to combat the ongoing outbreak affecting unvaccinated children with complications like pneumonia.
