7,243 hectares of land in Bhabadaha region remain uncultivated due to chronic waterlogging

Persistent waterlogging in the Bhabadaha region across Abhaynagar, Manirampur, and Keshabpur upazilas of Jessore district has prevented farmers from cultivating Boro rice on 7,243 hectares of land this season. The area suffers from chronic drainage failure due to river siltation, with many fields remaining submerged since the previous year's monsoon season.
