Janasangha Adarsha High School threatened by Padma riverbank erosion

Janasangha Adarsha High School in Akterchar Union, Sadarpur, Faridpur is at risk of being swallowed by the Padma River, currently located only 300 meters from the eroding bank. Students, teachers, and guardians held a human chain on September 10, 2026, demanding the construction of a permanent embankment and an immediate end to illegal sand extraction, which they identified as the primary cause of the erosion.
