On the night of September 24-25, 2026, a mob of 200-250 armed masked individuals attacked the Radda MCH-FP Center in Mirpur-1, Dhaka. Linked to the local shopkeepers' cooperative, the attackers assaulted two guards, looted medical equipment, vaccines, and cash, and used an excavator to demolish four buildings, causing 1-1.5 crore BDT in damages. This disrupted services for over 300-400 daily patients. Structural renovations have since been completed, and the facility is now seeking furniture and medical equipment to fully resume maternal and child health services. Legal action has been taken against 12 suspects, with the former Shah Ali Thana OC withdrawn due to negligence allegations.
