Massive Riverbank Erosion in Salimabad, Nagarpur, Tangail

Since June 23, 2026, intense erosion along the Jamuna River has destroyed a mosque, roads, and 50 houses in Salimabad, Tangail, causing approximately 10 crore BDT in damages. Displaced residents are currently living in open spaces or at relatives' homes as local authorities and the Water Development Board assess the situation.
