Severe fire at cotton warehouses in Bandar

A massive fire broke out at 9 cotton warehouses in Bandar, Narayanganj, in the early hours of October 17, 2026. The fire, suspected to be caused by an electrical short circuit, was controlled after five hours of effort by four fire service units. No casualties were reported, though property damage is estimated at 50 lakh BDT.
