Former UP member killed by bus in road accident in Mirsharai
On August 23, 2026, Abdul Khaleq (66), a former UP member, was killed after being struck by an AC passenger bus while walking home from Fajr prayers on the Dhaka-Chattagram highway near Baro Darogahat Bazar, Mirsharai, Chattogram. He was declared dead upon arrival at the Sitakunda Upazila Health Complex.
