Newspaper delivery pickup and truck collision in Madaripur leaves 1 dead and 5 injured

On the morning of June 15, 2026, a head-on collision between a newspaper-carrying pickup and a sand-carrying truck occurred on the Dhaka-Barishal Highway in the Pantapara/Karnapara area of Baligram Union, Dasar Upazila, Madaripur. The accident resulted in the death of a contractor named Naeem and left five others injured, who were transported to the hospital. Police and Fire Service conducted rescue operations.
