Special prayers at the riverbank to prevent erosion in Noakhali

Residents of Charparbati Union, Noakhali, held special prayers following severe, ongoing riverbank erosion in Companiganj Upazila. The erosion, triggered by the collapse of the Muchapur regulator on August 26, 2024, has impacted multiple unions. Local authorities have allocated geo-bags and requested 10 crore BDT for emergency protective works.
