3,000 families marooned for a month in Satkhira

Approximately 15,000 people from 3,000 families in Satkhira Sadar Upazila and Municipality have been marooned for a month due to severe waterlogging caused by heavy rainfall and obstructed natural drainage paths. Unplanned shrimp enclosures and filled-in canals have hindered water from receding into the Betna River, causing prolonged inundation of homes and infrastructure.
