Contaminated food and spoiled eggs supplied in Mid-Day Meal program at Bashbaria Government Primary School, Meherpur

On July 1, 2026, at Bashbaria Government Primary School in Gangni, Meherpur, 160 students were exposed to contaminated food, including rotten eggs and moldy bread supplied for the school feeding program. While the guardian committee intervened to prevent further consumption, at least one student was hospitalized due to food poisoning. The supplier, the NGO 'Sushilon', was noted, and the school administration took corrective action to replace the spoiled items.
