Embankment collapse at Mahipur Teesta Bridge in Rangpur

The embankment of the Mahipur Teesta Bridge in Gangachara, Rangpur, suffered a significant collapse due to rising water levels caused by discharge from the Gajoldoba gate. Since Saturday afternoon, 50 meters of the embankment have been washed away, creating a 70-meter gap that threatens local connectivity and over 1,000 families in Lakshmitari Union.
