Fire in a moving covered van in Mirsharai, goods burned to ashes

A moving covered van transporting mosquito-killing electric bats caught fire on the Dhaka-Chattagram Highway in Mirsharai, Chattogram, on the morning of February 8, 2026. The incident, caused by a fire in the gas nozzle, resulted in the loss of half the cargo and significant damage to the vehicle, with no reported human casualties. Fire services brought the fire under control after two hours of effort.
