Passenger bus and motorcycle collision kills 5 on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Gopalganj
A head-on collision between a Dola Paribahan bus and a motorcycle occurred on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Bedgram, Gopalganj Sadar, on May 28, 2026, during Eid-ul-Adha, causing the bus to fall into a ditch. The accident resulted in 5 fatalities and at least 25 injuries. The deceased included a man, his pregnant wife, and their 8-year-old son, along with two other individuals, who were traveling home for Eid. Victims received treatment at Gopalganj Medical College Hospital and Gopalganj General Hospital. Local MP Masud Sayedee provided support to the surviving child.
