Tourist Express train accident at Sholoshahar, Chattogram: Child dies and rescuer killed
On September 11, 2026, 10-year-old Md. Rahat was struck by the Tourist Express train at the Sholoshahar level crossing in Chattogram. He was initially critically injured but succumbed to his injuries at Chittagong Medical College Hospital that evening. Delowar Hossain Mintu (55), an electrician, died while attempting to rescue the child. Abdur Rahman (30) was also injured during the incident.
