Between August 18 and August 30, 2026, 2,644 concrete blocks were stolen from the Charhaizda Haor crop protection embankment in Mohanganj, Netrokona, threatening approximately 6,500 hectares of Boro crop land. Following intervention by police and the irrigation board, the stolen blocks were fully recovered by September 9, 2026, and are being reinstalled.
