Students of Khorkhoria 2 No. Primary School in Chilmari Forced to Study in Makeshift Conditions Due to Lack of Classrooms

Following the demolition of a risky school building on November 12, 2025, 181 students at Khorkhoria 2 Government Primary School in Chilmari, Kurigram, have been forced to study in makeshift tin sheds and on the base of a Shahid Minar for 10 months. The lack of new construction leaves students exposed to heat, rain, and safety hazards, with reported near-miss injuries from falling roof debris.
