On the morning of June 15, 2026, a head-on collision occurred between an S Alam Paribahan bus and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw on the ABC regional highway near Toitong Bazar in Pekua, Cox's Bazar. Two passengers died while being transported to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, and four others were injured and received treatment at the Pekua Upazila Health Complex.
