Severe Riverbank Erosion in Sundarganj, Gaibandha

Intense riverbank erosion along the Teesta River in Sundarganj, Gaibandha, has destroyed the homesteads of 83 families since September 2, 2026. The recurring disaster has displaced hundreds of families, caused the loss of a local primary school, and left over two hundred households at immediate risk, with victims demanding urgent flood prevention measures.
