Fatal assault on disabled woman Wahida Begum at Methikanda Railway Station

Wahida Begum, a 70-year-old disabled woman who lived at the Methikanda Railway Station for 25 years, died after being assaulted and robbed by a group of miscreants on July 4, 2026. She succumbed to her injuries on July 7 while being transported to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital. A murder case has been filed, and five suspects have been remanded.
