One auto-rickshaw passenger killed, 4 injured in bus collision in Chandpur

On the morning of September 12, 2026, a Jainpuri Paribahan bus collided with a battery-operated auto-rickshaw on the Matlab-Gauripur road in the Nagda area of Matlab Dakshin, Chandpur. The accident resulted in the death of 26-year-old Sadia Akter, while four others, including the auto-rickshaw driver, sustained critical injuries and were referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. The bus driver was subsequently arrested by police.
