Prisoner dies at Dhaka Medical College Hospital after illness in Keraniganj Central Jail

A 24-year-old prisoner named Akash Biswas died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He had fallen ill on the night of October 6, 2026, while incarcerated at Keraniganj Central Jail and was subsequently transferred for medical care. The body is awaiting an autopsy under the supervision of an executive magistrate.
