Road accidents in Sylhet Division in June 2026

A report by the Nirapad Sarak Chai (Nischa) Sylhet divisional committee stated that 29 road accidents occurred across the four districts of Sylhet Division (Sylhet, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, and Habiganj) throughout June 2026, resulting in 29 deaths and 36 injuries. Key contributing factors included pedestrian negligence, speeding, illegal overtaking, lack of helmet use, and road construction defects.
