A shop belonging to a Jamaat-e-Islami activist, Md. Nurul Hakim, was set on fire in Balukhali, Ukhiya, during the early hours of February 14, 2026. The shopkeeper, who was sleeping inside, narrowly escaped without injury, but goods worth 5-6 lakh BDT were destroyed.
