Rehabilitation support for flood victims announced by Finance Minister

Following severe flooding in July 2026 that affected 866,000 people across 10 districts, the Finance Minister announced the integration of NGOs and the private sector into long-term rehabilitation efforts. A project supported by HSBC and implemented by BRAC is currently underway to provide housing repairs, sanitation, and livelihood support in Chattogram and Cox's Bazar.
