Newborn's body recovered from Kalihor River in Purbadhala, Netrokona

A newborn female infant's body was recovered from the Kalihor (Kaliharkanda) River near Hatkhala Bazar in Purbadhala, Netrokona, on the morning of June 29, 2026. The body was wrapped in a black shirt, tied to a brick with a red rope. Purbadhala police recovered the body and sent it to Netrokona Sadar Hospital for an autopsy; an investigation is underway.
